The Sisterhood’ HBO Max Sequence – Deadline

Travis Fimmel has been tapped because the male lead reverse Emily Watson and Shirley Henderson in HBO Max’s sequence Dune: The Sisterhood (wt), from Legendary Tv.

The sequence, which relies on Frank Herbert’s basic novel, is about 10,000 years earlier than the ascension of Paul Atreides and follows the Harkonnen Sisters, performed by Watson and Henderson, as they fight forces that threaten the way forward for humankind, and set up the fabled sect generally known as the Bene Gesserit.

Fimmel will play Desmond Hart, a charismatic soldier with an enigmatic previous, who seeks to achieve the Emperor’s belief on the expense of the Sisterhood. Along with Watson and Henderson, Fimmel joins beforehand forged Indira Varma, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Faoileann Cunningham, Aoife Hinds and Chloe Lea.

Diane Ademu-John serves as creator, author, co-showrunner and government producer. Alison Schapker serves as co-showrunner and government producer. Johan Renck will direct the premiere episode and government produce. Denis Villeneuve, who directed, co-wrote and produced the 2021 Dune movie, is government producing with Jon Spaihts, Scott Z. Burns, Matthew King, John Cameron and Cait Collins, together with writer Brian Herbert. Byron Merritt and Kim Herbert function government producers for the Frank Herbert property. Creator Kevin J. Anderson serves as co-producer.

The sequence is co-produced by HBO Max and Legendary Tv, the TV arm of Legendary which is behind the present movie franchise.

This marks former Vikings star Fimmel’s return to HBO Max the place he headlined Raised By Wolves for the sci-fi drama’s two-season run. He’s repped by Paradigm, Leisure 360 and Sloan, Provide.
