Def Jam Recordings and 4th & Broadway have launched a brand new compilation album that includes Jhené Aiko, Coco Jones, Alessia Cara, and extra singing conventional Christmas songs and authentic festive tracks to ring within the vacation season.
The album, aptly titled “Def The Halls,” follows the 2019 EP “A Def Jam Christmas,” which first featured Cara’s “Make It To Christmas.” That music additionally seems on this new launch, alongside August 08’s transforming of “Silent Night time” and Aiko’s 2013 ballad “Wrap Me Up.”
Different notables embody Jones’ new “Silver Bells” and North Carolina’s Mikhala Jené, who provides an R&B twist to 2 fashionable vacation classics: “This Christmas” (from Donny Hathaway) and “Please Come Residence For Christmas” (from Charles Brown). Los Angeles duo Calabasas pay homage to the beloved ’80s duo, Wham! with their rendition of “Final Christmas.”
The unique Christmas tunes “BBC” by DaniLeigh, and “Beneath The Mistletoe” by August 08 are each collaborations with rising star Kendra Jae. One other duet brings collectively 4th & Broadway’s Kidd Kenn and Pap Chanel on “Naughty.”
